Specialist communications agency fox&cat relaunches today with a refined proposition: to help all communications teams thrive under pressure. So, whether pressure is being felt in an in-house team, an agency, or even a business in need of a comms function, fox&cat can step in to help.

Industry-leading research from the CIPR found workload to be the number one cause of pressure in communications1, which is being further compounded by increasing levels of vacancies due to recruitment and retention issues affecting the sector2. Responding to this, fox&cat has refreshed and reorganised its four key solutions to help communications teams continue to deliver at times of mounting pressure.

Fox&cat is led by ex-Pegasus (now Mind+Matter) Pharma & Life Sciences Director, Paul Hutchings. Commenting on the relaunch, Paul says: “90% of our work to date has been in helping health clients deliver integrated communications. Right now, health is a hot topic and communications teams, whether in-house or agency, are feeling the pinch.”

Fox&cat operates with a network of over thirty professionals covering its four key services areas. This includes twenty+ in-house and agency side senior communications consultants spanning all aspects of integrated communications, six professional coaches focusing on managing pressure, and four experts in leadership training and wellbeing. Fox&cat offers:

  • Client service & consultancy: Fox&cat can step in to get a project back on track or run it from the start; providing the full integrated communications mix.
  • Organisation & leadership: The obstacles to greatness nearly always lie within. Fox&cat offers an outside perspective shaped by years of experience.
  • Training & performance: Stress management is a science, and fox&cat uses that science to help teams cultivate a healthier response to pressure.
  • Health & wellbeing: Wellbeing doesn’t just need switching on when the wheels fall off, which is why fox&cat helps businesses become more nurturing places.

Paul continues: “Today’s relaunch broadens our reach and further refines our proposition to reflect the changing nature of pressures on staff across all communications teams, both agency and in-house. From today, we are truly living our mission to help everyone working in communications thrive under pressure.”

Fox&cat is an active member of the PRCA and the CIPR. You can follow fox&cat on LinkedIn or follow Paul Hutchings to see all company updates and progress.

Fox&cat was originally founded in March 2021. It works with GCI Health and Twelve, and is currently contracting with a major pharmaceutical company in the UK.
