Johnson & Johnson is working with Shenzhen-based investor firm HAX on an accelerator programme for novel consumer health devices.
The firm’s Johnson & Johnson Innovation arm will work with HAX on supporting start-ups that are developing technologies in areas such as skin care, baby care and wound care.
The world’s largest hardware accelerator with bases in Silicon Valley and south east China, HAX has a specific health track within its Shenzhen hardware accelerator.
Companies that have successfully applied to its spring 2017 call for entries and are then co-selected by HAX and J&J will receive mentorship in business development and commercialization from Johnson & Johnson Innovation executives.
They will also, HAX said, learn how to align their products with Johnson & Johnson’s consumer health care portfolio.
