Lilly has joined the Personal Connected Health Alliance, a US non-profit organisation that aims to make health and wellness an effortless part of daily life.
Alongside the pharma firm the PCH Alliance has also welcomed the likes of Samsung AT&T and IPSOS Healthcare.
As part of their membership each of the organisations can nominate an executive to the PCH Alliance board of managers – for Lilly this will be its director of software device solutions James Parshall.
Patricia Mechael, executive vice president at the Personal Connected Health Alliance, said: “We have a very strong leadership team in place and are pleased to welcome the newest members to the board of managers, representing major players in the connected health ecosystem.
“Each of the individuals on the PCHAlliance Board share deep experience, passionate commitment and an innovative approach to helping shape the course of human health and healthcare through the use of personal health tools.”
Also joining the PCHAlliance are France’s Voluntis, a therapeutic companion software firm working with Sanofi in diabetes, and the Danish Health Data Authority.
