Endemic

The continual presence of a disease in a population. An endemic can refer to a disease that is constantly present to a greater or lesser degree in people of a specific class or in people living in a particular geographic. Endemic diseases do not always exist at high levels, they can be rare, but the definitive characteristic of a regional endemic disease is that it can systematically be located in the people that live there.
