Amgen has appointed Jonathan Graham as senior vice president, general counsel and secretary with effect from July 13.
He will take over from David Scott, who is due to retire on August 31, and will report to the company’s chairman and chief executive office Robert Bradway.
In his new role at Amgen he will be responsible for the company’s legal operations.
Bradway said, “We are excited to have Jon join our team. His proven leadership skills and depth of experience will serve us well as we drive our agenda for growth.”
Graham joins the firm from Danaher Corporation, where he has served as senior vice president and general counsel, responsible for all legal, governance, regulatory, risk, and compliance matters.
Prior to that he was vice president, litigation and legal policy at General Electric Company and a partner at Williams & Connolly.
