UDG Healthcare subsidiary Ashfield has appointed Greg Flynn (pictured right) as US regional president of its commercial and clinical division in a role that will see him deliver commercial, clinical, pharmacovigilance and market access operations.
Julian Tompkins, global president for Ashfield’s clinical and commercial business, said: “Greg’s leadership in the Japanese market has yielded remarkable growth and proven his dedication to Ashfield’s success.
“With Greg’s innovative thinking and focus on people, we are looking forward to seeing his impact on the US business.”
Flynn is transitioning from his prior position as regional president in Japan and representative director of CMIC Ashfield – a joint initiative between CMIC Holdings and UDG Healthcare.
He said: “Through the talent of our people and Ashfield’s commitment to helping improve lives, I have seen the power of what we do in this organisation.
“The US business has experienced phenomenal growth in the last two years and this new role is an exciting opportunity to continue that growth.
“I am excited about the future of Ashfield in the US and being part of the next phase in this company’s journey.”
Mick O’Leary (pictured left) takes on Flynn’s previous role in the group’s Japan office as regional president of the commercial and clinical division, leading the CMIC Ashfield venture.

O’Leary previously served as the managing director for Ashfield Ireland, and has over 20 years’ experience in the pharmaceutical sales industry.
