Avalere Health has announced the appointment of Jocelyn Crouch as its new head of brand strategy.

Crouch has over two decades of experience in developing strategies for biopharmaceutical brands such as Pfizer and joins Avalere from Publicis Health, where she served as therapeutic lead, oncology and specialty medicine for international developed markets.

Prior to Publicis, Crouch led healthcare strategy teams at VML Health and Weber Shandwick, and held roles on a contract basis at Atomic Matter, McCann Health, Syneos Health Communications and ZPB Associates.

She also served in positions at VCCP Health, DDB Remedy London, Ogilvy Health and Roche Diagnostics earlier in her career, and more recently co-founded ZAOWOMAN, an organisation focused on changing the way menopause is managed in the workplace.

Avalere’s chief executive officer, Amar Urhekar, described Crouch as an “exceptional” leader with “unique, strategic expertise”, adding that she will be “instrumental in supporting [Avalere’s] advisory, medical and marketing experts”.

Crouch said she is “looking forward” to using her experience to support Avalere’s agency of record accounts to “reach, empower and engage every person, creating a healthier world for all”.
