FlowMetric Diagnostics, a provider of flow cytometry and cell sorting services, has appointed Amy Williams as its president.
Williams has over 25 years of experience in the life science industry. Prior to joining FlowMetric Diagnostics, Williams was president of SageWorks Rx, a consulting company to the life science industry.
Commenting on her appointment, she said: “I am pleased and excited to be given this opportunity to lead FlowMetric Diagnostics.
“It is a great time for the development of new flow cytometry-based companion diagnostics which can help advance personalised medicine and better meet the needs of physicians, healthcare workers and patients.”
Williams has held a variety of commercial leadership roles at Merck and Endo Pharmaceuticals and also has expertise in marketing, sales and reimbursement. She has additionally helped launch new products and indications, creating and implementing contract reimbursement strategies.
Ren Capocasale, chairman of the board, FlowMetric Diagnostics and CEO and founder of parent company Flowmetric Inc, added: “Amy brings a wealth of experience to support our business and commercialisation initiatives and will play a pivotal role in leading and executing our business strategy now and in the years ahead.”
Williams will also join the company’s board of directors.
