The pharma services group inVentiv Health has named eBay’s Jeffrey Wilks as its first president of advertising.
Wilks, who was head of client services for eBay’s marketing divisions, steps into a newly created role where he will support inVentiv’s customers to make use of digital expertise from inVentiv’s many healthcare-focused marketing agencies.
These agencies include GSW, Palio+Ignite, Navicor, JSA, inVentiv Health Communications (Europe), and Addison Whitney.
Mike Griffith, president of inVentiv commericial, said: “[Wilks] will infuse insights and operational excellence into our existing creative offerings and help each of our agencies become the preferred provider of imaginative, tech-savvy, and globally customised advertising solutions.”
Wilks has vast experience in developing customer relationships in a consumer setting working for major brands such as IBM, Dell Computers, Delta Airlines, MasterCard, USA Today and Johnson & Johnson.
In his most recent role at online shopping market eBay he led a team that tailored technology-based marketing solutions for brands such as Toys ‘R’ Us, Wells Fargo and Sony.
Wilks spoke of his digital priorities at inVentiv: “The mobile health marketplace is racing to match the swift proliferation of on-the-go health apps, while traditional advertising is rapidly shifting to a content marketing approach.
“I look forward to advancing our capabilities, and the data-driven insights that guide them, across inVentiv’s agencies to help our clients achieve their goals.”
