Mumbai-based pharma company Lupin has appointed Thierry Volle to lead its Europe, Middle-East and Africa operations as president.
Volle will be responsible for the company’s growth and development in Europe, Russia and CIS, as well as the Middle-East and African markets, and he will be based at Lupin’s European headquarters in Zug, Switzerland.
He joins the firm from Vifor Pharma, where he was the head of EU and International business operations, and prior to that he served at Wyeth.
Vinita Gupta, Lupin’s chief executive officer, said: “We are delighted to have Thierry join the Lupin family. His rich knowledge and experience in developing and growing businesses, specifically specialty pharmaceuticals in EMEA, will help us with our strategic expansion plans for these markets.”
