AbbVie, the new independent biopharma spin-out from Abbott, has appointed Matt Regan as general manager of its UK business.
Regan was formerly general manager for Abbott in Norway and will now oversee the new firm’s UK presence as it establishes itself as a separate research-based pharma company.
During his time in Norway, Regan set up and led the Norwegian Industry Association’s Biosimilars committee, and helped establish Abbott as one of the fastest growing pharma companies in the region.
He has been with Abbott for more than a decade, serving in several European roles, including as regional director, North Europe for Abbott Diabetes Care, and general manager of the Baltic States for Abbott.
