Merck Serono has strengthened its emerging market experience in the senior team with the appointment of Meeta Gulyani from pharma rival Roche.
Gulyani was general manager for South Asia at Roche but will now move to the US to head strategy and global franchises at Merck Serono, the pharma division of Merck KGaA.
Belén Garijo, Merck Serono’s president and CEO, said: “Meeta is an accomplished executive with a leadership track record across strategic and operational roles in both mature and emerging markets and will bring the necessary expertise and global perspective required for this important role.”
Gulyani had served at Roche since 2012, having previously spent eight years at Sanofi.
