Novo Nordisk has announced the names of the four employee representatives that have been elected by employees to the Board of Directors.
The elected employee representatives will join the Board of Directors after the annual general meeting on 26 March 2026.
Two representatives, Mette Bøjer Jensen and Elisabeth Dahl Christensen, have been re-elected, with two, Semsi Kilic Madsen and Désirée Jantzen Asgreen, being elected for the first time.
Anders Kaae, Karina Bonde Lenau, Jesper Thorning and Tanja Villumsen were elected as substitutes for the employee-elected board members.
Two current board members who did not run for election as employee representatives, Liselotte Hyveled and Tanja Villumsen, will resign once the new members join the board.
The right to employee representatives falls under the Danish Companies Act and, according to the Act, Novo Nordisk employees are entitled to be represented by half of the total shareholder-elected board members.
Employee-elected board members serve four-year terms, during which they have the same rights, duties and responsibilities as shareholder-elected board members.
Novo Nordisk, headquartered in Denmark, employs approximately 68,800 people in 80 countries.
