Amna Ahmad has joined communications agency Open Road as senior consultant for its healthcare team.
She joins from FleishmanHillard, where her clients included the Association of the British Pharmaceutical Industry (ABPI), Royal Pharmaceutical Society, World Hepatitis Alliance, Pfizer and the American Pharmaceutical Group.
In 2013, Ahmad was elected vice-chair of the Association of Professional Political Consultants (APPC) Young Consultants Committee, which promotes transparency in government affairs.
She has also worked for Edelman, the MP Charles Kennedy and for BBC Current Affairs.

Launched in 2007, Open Road has 22 staff working across corporate and internal communications, media relations, public affairs and corporate responsibility accounts.
Clients include Coca-Cola, National Grid, Prudential, Asda, while specific healthcare clients include Allergan, AstraZeneca, Bristol-Myers Squibb, Gilead, JDRF, Sanofi-Pasteur, MSD and Skills for Care.
