Porter Novelli has created a new senior VP of global health and wellness role in order to strengthen firm’s ‘commitment to client value’.

Amy Nicole Nayar, veteran of pharma company Pfizer, is the first person to be appointed to the position and will lead key healthcare client engagements. She will report to Henry Engleka, who is also senior VP of global health and wellness.

Before joining Porter Novelli, Nayar ran Forefront Leadership – an organisational change and leadership skills firm. Her clients include forms from the media, retail, life science, finance and technology sectors.

Previously she spent 14 years at Pfizer, running teams within the corporate affairs, marketing and medical functions. Nayar ended her time with Pfizer as head of strategy and capability development for international public affairs under policy, external affairs and communications.

“Amy Nicole is not only a published health economic outcomes researcher, she’s also a well-regarded leader effective at managing and motivating external-facing teams to do exceptional work,” said Darlan Monterisi, managing director, Porter Novelli New York.

Nayar said she was thrilled to have the opportunity to work with Porter Novelli’s ‘highly engaged and collaborative teams’.
