Global healthcare communications company Porterhouse Medical has announced the appointment of Michael Tague as president of its US-based operation, Porterhouse Medical US.
Tague has extensive medical communications experience, having recently left CMC Connect (IPG Health Medical Communications). He first joined CMC as head of US and global growth, before taking on his most recent role as head of North America.
Tague has also previously held roles at HealthAnswers Education, Digitas Health, Hurd Studios and Medical Education Solutions.
He has been involved in delivering a broad range of projects such as medical and scientific communications, publications, healthcare professional marketing, digital marketing, online media, direct-to-consumer/direct-to-patient communications, sales force effectiveness and sales training.
Commenting on his new position, Tague said: “It’s an exciting time to join Porterhouse Medical in the US given the increasing need of scientific and medical communications across the biopharma sector.
“The complexity of science continues to increase, to the betterment of patient care, and as a result clients look to their medical communications agencies to play an increasing role in pre-launch and launch success.”
Jon Hallows, global head of Porterhouse Medical and 3 Stories High, added: “I’m thrilled that Mike has taken on this role to help our North American agency on its upward trajectory… I look forward to working with Mike, he is a talented leader, whose skill set is ideal to take Porterhouse US to the next level.”
