Publicis Health UK has announced the promotions of Katie McMorran (pictured right) and Clare Middleton (pictured left) as group managing directors for Langland.

McMorran will lead the agency’s advertising practice, while Middleton will head the clinical trial experience, medical strategy and education, and public relations disciplines.

McMorran brings over 25 years of experience in the advertising industry to the role. She originally joined Publicis LifeBrands in 2015 as managing partner before taking on the same position at Langland.

Prior to this, McMorran was director, global at Luckie & Company, marketing director and founder of private mental health company Clinical Partners, and also held positions at Life Works Community, Ogilvy London and Lintas.

In her latest role, McMorran will be adding Saatchi & Saatchi Wellness to her portfolio, becoming the overall advertising lead for Publicis Health UK.

Middleton holds over 17 years of experience within the industry and previously took on leadership roles at Real Science (within Publicis Health), including as managing partner, leading the team before uniting two medical education offerings to form Langland’s medical strategy and education practice in 2020.

She has most recently been serving as managing partner at Langland and previously held positions at Publicis Life Brands Resolute and University College London.

Victoria Wright, chief executive officer of Publicis Health UK, said: “I am thrilled to be able to share the news of this powerhouse pairing. Katie and Clare are integral to Langland’s success and their ability to think further for our clients and our people is what makes them so unique.

“Working closely together they will be able to pursue opportunities for continued client growth, product and team development in an agile way. I am looking forward to seeing what the future holds with them at the reins.”

Commenting on her latest venture, McMorran said: “Under my stewardship, the amazing teams we have at both Langland and Saatchi & Saatchi Wellness will be able to pivot and pull in experts from across the UK Health Practice and Groupe to create that ‘aha’-inducing work – enabling us all to thrive.”

Middleton added: “As I bring our teams even closer together, I am excited to capture the other opportunities we know are out there.”
