Virgo Health Education has expanded its team with the appointment of Dr Ajay Aggarwal as an account manager.
Dr Aggarwal brings experience in both healthcare communications and healthcare provision to the Communiqué Medical Education Consultancy of the Year.
Katherine Mantell, head of Virgo Health Education, said: “By having Dr Aggarwal as a fully-fledged member of our team, we can ensure that we always have healthcare professional insights at our fingertips.
“We are looking forward to harnessing his experience as a practising doctor to further expand our offering and build upon our human-centric approach to medical learning.”
While working as an account manager at Phase II, a pharmaceutical communications firm, Dr Aggarwal developed content strategy for disease education websites and created insight campaigns disseminated over online platforms.
Prior to this, he served as a medial doctor at Chelsea & Westminster hospital, working in a number of specialties including acute medicine, gastroenterology and colorectal surgery.
Dr Aggarwal has also served as a clinical advisor for Now Health International, and worked in dermatology and general practice.
He said: “From my experience on the frontline of healthcare provision, I’m able to generate solid insights about how doctors continue to learn and keep-up-to-date.
“By truly understanding the challenges faced by healthcare professionals and patients, we’re able to deliver creative medical educational programmes that have impact.”
