VML Health has appointed Sus Misra as Executive Director, Data & Analytics, a new role created to put advanced analytics, AI and health data strategy at the heart of client growth.

Misra, pictured with Claire Gillis, CEO of VML Health, will lead VML Health’s global data and analytics capability, building the infrastructure, governance and AI powered capabilities to turn complex health data ecosystems into clear commercial outcomes for the agency’s pharmaceutical and life sciences clients.

With more than 20 years’ experience in health and marketing analytics, Misra has led data and measurement strategy for pharmaceutical and medtech clients across therapeutic areas including HIV, heart disease, obesity, diabetes and paediatric cancer.

In his role Misra will help health clients unlock the full value of data and AI by connecting VML Health’s analytics offering with WPP’s agentic marketing platform that unites media intelligence, data solutions and creativity across the network.

“Health clients are looking for more than fancy tech stacks; they want data strategies that unlock growth, improve outcomes and stand up to the most demanding regulatory scrutiny, evolving in tandem with business objectives in an exceptionally dynamic market,” said Claire Gillis, CEO of VML Health. “Sus brings a rare combination of deep health data expertise, AI fluency and commercial focus. He will give our clients a clearer line of sight from investment to impact, ensuring they are powered by consistent, scalable and compliant analytics.”

Misra joins VML Health from Havas Media, where he served as SVP, Consumer Science & Analytics. Prior to this, he held senior data and analytics roles at IPG and Publicis.

“It’s critical that we adapt to our audiences thoughtfully and holistically,” said Misra. “It’s not just about data, tools and AI, it’s about creating relevant, human-first connections, with data at the centre providing a cohesive throughline across HCPs, patients and payers.”
