Saatchi & Saatchi Health relaunches Roche’s cancer website

Agency’s Madrid office redesigns site to provide information about colon cancer

Roche cancercolon website Spain

Agency Saatchi & Saatchi Health has relaunched a Roche website focused on colon cancer in Spain.

Replacing a site first launched a decade ago, the relaunched cancercolon.es has a two-fold objective: to provide information for the scientific community and to act as an online meeting place for sufferers of colorectal cancer.

Work on redeveloping the site began mid-2012, but once the budgeting and programming processes had been carried out, it took the Saatchi & Saatchi Health team five months to complete the project, group account director Carmen Sanz told PMLiVE.

Sanz led the project, assisted by the agency’s medical, digital and account departments.  Saatchi & Saatchi Health’s Madrid office has worked on a number of similar projects for Roche Spain, said Sanz, including B-Right, an online platform about melanoma.

Cancercolon.es has three separate levels of access and information: for patients, healthcare professionals and nurses.

The section for healthcare professional includes e-learning materials, such as videos, lectures and accredited training courses.

Content was developed with the help of a committee of experts, including colorectal oncology professionals from a number of hospitals.

In the section designed with patients in mind, users have access to the latest information on the disease, and are able to put their questions to experts. There are links to a range of other useful sites, including those of cancer institutes and academic bodies specialising in the disease.

The new website also features an online forum for oncologists, and a calendar of events, past and future, dealing with advances in colon cancer treatment.
