Mednet, a digital marketing and brand partner in Pharma, has recently strengthened its partnership with women’s charity Smart Works Leeds by donating fully-wiped and refurbished laptops to support the charity’s service users as they prepare to re-enter the workforce.
As a certified woman-owned business, Mednet is deeply committed to helping women from all backgrounds thrive and achieve their career aspirations. That’s why, over the last year, the company has worked closely with Smart Works Leeds – a charity that specialises in helping women into work – providing mentoring support, creating work opportunities, and assisting with event sponsorship and organisation.
“The support and assistance we’ve had from the team at Mednet has been life changing. It’s really helped us ensure we’re providing the best possible service to women who need it,” explains Lottie Roberts, Outreach and Communications Manager at Smart Works Leeds.
Empowering Women in the Workforce
This year, Mednet continued its partnership by donating a series of unused laptops to the charity, which can be used by the charity to continue supporting women in their job searches.
“As a certified woman-owned business, we understand the importance of helping women return to the workforce and grow their careers,” explains Emma Greensmith, Finance Director at Mednet. “When we realised we had laptops no longer in use by our team, it made sense to clean them up and donate them to a charity like Smart Works Leeds, where they could make a real difference. Access to technology is critical for modern career development, and we’re proud to play a part in helping women achieve their goals.”
