Agility – The Bedrock Way

The rapid pace of innovation, regulatory systems and consumer behaviour requires real agility by medical communication professionals. Bedrock has the agility to keep up with the pace of change and here’s why.

Agility – The Bedrock Way

by Stephen Marchant Manager Director, Bedrock Healthcare Communications

The healthcare industry is dynamic and constantly evolving, and we, as medical communications professionals need to be able to adapt to these changes quickly and effectively – this requires real agility to keep up with the latest trends, technologies, and best practices.

One of the main drivers for agility in medical communications is the rapid pace of advancements and innovation we are seeing in the medical affairs space.  Medical communications professionals need to stay at the forefront of their field in order to effectively communicate the latest medical and scientific information to multiple audiences, including healthcare professionals and patients. This is set against the backdrop of the ever changing regulatory environment, with the imperative to make sure that both agency and clients stay up to date with the latest regulations and guidelines to ensure that all communications are compliant. This requires a level of flexibility and adaptability, as regulations can change frequently and with little notice.

In addition to technological advancements and regulatory changes, there are also changes in consumer behaviour and expectations that medical communications professionals need to be aware of. Patients are becoming more informed and empowered, and they expect to have access to information about their health and treatment options in a way that is accessible and inclusive. Medical communications professionals have a responsibility to create, adapt and deliver information that meets these expectations, and this requires a level of agility to ensure content truly connects with patients’ hearts and minds.

Finally, the need for agility in medical communications is also fuelled by the changing competitive landscape. The healthcare industry is becoming more competitive and pharmaceutical companies need to be able to differentiate their products and services in a crowded marketplace. This requires a level of creativity and innovation, as well as an ability to adapt to new trends and changing consumer needs.

In 2022, Bedrock won two awards acknowledging our agility in working with pharmaceutical clients, multidisciplinary healthcare professionals, and patient association groups (professional bodies) in delivering effective and impactful projects within the rapidly evolving healthcare environment.

The Bedrock team won the 2022 Communiqué award in the ‘Agility and Flexibility’ category. The judges were impressed by the thinking behind the program and the layers of flexibility and agility applied.

The team were also awarded another win in the ‘Agility Award in Pharma Market Excellence’ category for the PMEAs a few months later, with the judges concluding the project was bold and imaginative, and the execution very well planned and delivered.

At Bedrock we are committed to growth and we are dynamically driven. Our teams have an approach to work that means that we are able to stay at the forefront of industry changes. We adapt to these changes quickly and effectively due to our enterprising size and operating systems. We stay relevant and able to effectively communicate with healthcare professionals and patients because we have the ability to adapt and evolve.  This is agility the Bedrock way.  Get in touch to get your project started. freethinking@bedrock-health.com
