Cuttsy+Cuttsy are named as one of the Best Places to Work

May 9, 2022 | Award, Best places to work

Campaign Magazine have released its 2022 ranking for the best places to work and Cuttsy+Cuttsy have come in right at the top at No.3.

How often have you seen companies claiming to do things differently? Only to find the promises made at interview far outweigh the reality. More than once? It’s no surprise, there’s plenty of it going round…The trick is finding employers that stand out amongst the noise, who mean what they say. When Cuttsy+Cuttsy state they are a workplace #WherePeopleMatter it’s not just a statement, it’s a fact. The Cambridgeshire-based Healthcare Communications Agency was recently awarded a top 3 position by Campaign Magazine’s Best Places to Work ranking. The win came just days after the agency celebrated its 11th birthday. Still a young agency, Cuttsy+Cuttsy has spent a good part of its first decade solidifying its values and culture. This has paid dividends as the agency enjoyed its second year of team expansion and looks positively at the future as a company trusted by its employees and partners.

“We know that being one of the best places to work isn’t all about a free lunch, although this is on offer!” says HR Manager, Kate McCabe. “It’s about getting the culture right. We have focused on fostering an environment that people want to be a part of. Combining a shared commitment to the meaningful work we do alongside a ‘no long hours’ policy’ has built a sense of community and promoted a good work-life balance.”

As job-to-job moves reached a record high in December 2021, Cuttsy+Cuttsy bucked the trend with a 91.5% retention rate last year and 13 new starters joining the team between 1st April 2021 – 31st March 2022 (an 35% increase in the agency’s size). From their first day working for Cuttsy+Cuttsy, new members of the team can expect to see the whole company living out its values. Directors and Senior Managers show its okay to work flexibly, often taking time themselves to incorporate the school run or a coffee break. Cuttsy+Cuttsy makes it clear there is no unwritten set of rules or complex hierarchies’ employees need be wary of. What you see is what you get. And what you get is a team who are passionate about what they do and proud of where they work.

Winning a top spot in this year’s Best Places to Work recognises years of perfecting the formula for a modern workplace. And it doesn’t look like they’re ready to slow down anytime soon.
