Cultivating Interest in Infectious Disease Education at ID Week 2024

- PMLiVE

IDWeek starts tomorrow, October 16, and Medscape is bringing outcomes and education! We are excited to announce Medscape is presenting six posters that highlight the significant impact of our educational programs on various infectious disease topics. These posters will address critical issues such as the management and vaccination of Hepatitis B, frailty in people living with HIV, RSV in older adults, and much more. Attendees are encouraged to connect with the Medscape team to ask questions and learn more about how they are making an impact in innovative ways.

“To have six posters at ID Week is a huge accomplishment. We are excited to be there and show how education really can move the needle in terms of knowledge, competence, and confidence. The data tell the story—education works,” said Sara Thorpe, Clinical Strategist and author on four of the posters.

To delve deeper into our work, please see the six posters here: ID Week 2024 Publications

In addition to our poster presentations, we are thrilled to host two engaging educational symposia on Wednesday, October 16:

  1. Piecing Together the RSV Mosaic: Patient and Clinician Insights to Empower Immunization Efforts
This symposium will provide an immersive experience for learners addressing the burden of respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) in adults, and best practices to discuss RSV vaccines, with subject matter experts to engage in shared decision-making with patients.
  2. Case Discussions in Rapid Molecular Diagnostics: Rethinking the Testing Paradigm for Critical Patient Populations
Join experts as they discuss real-world patient cases to illustrate how multiplex PCR testing can be applied to clinical decision-making for better patient outcomes.

Come join us for these engaging events, and to see firsthand how Medscape is making a difference in infectious disease education.

We look forward to seeing you at ID Week 2024!
