Medscape Brings Impact and Data to ESPGHAN

- PMLiVE

The ESPGHAN Congress in Milan was full of impact as Medscape Education Global presented 5 scientific posters examining the outcomes of their education. The posters detailed the impact Medscape Education Global programs had on clinician knowledge, competence, and confidence, as well as the results of a survey on clinical gaps in Cholestatic Liver Diseases. All 5 posters are now available online.

“This was one of our bigger conferences in terms of our publications. Our programs engaged clinicians from around the world, and we were able to glean insights from their learning behavior in order to see how they were impacted in terms of knowledge, competence, and confidence. The results showed us a lot about how effective our education is, while also revealing learning opportunities for the future. We were thrilled to present this impact at EPSGHAN,” said S. Christy Rohani-Montez, PhD.

Julia Duffey, PhD; Alessia Piazza, PhD; Karen Reid, MPharm: WebMD Global LLC, London, UK; Fabíola Lazarte, ME: Instituto de Investigación Nutricional, Lima, Peru; Michael J. Fitzgerald, MD, FAAP: Elmhurst Level 2.5 NICU; DuPage Neonatology Associates, University of Chicago, Naperville, Illinois, United States

Due to non-specific wide-ranging symptoms that could be due to a number of conditions the diagnosis of CMA is clinically challenging. Online medical education significantly improved pediatricians’ and PCPs’ knowledge, competence, and confidence regarding best practice in the diagnosis and management of CMA.
