Being an active part of the continuing medical education community is a top priority for the Medscape Education team. As part of their commitment to sharing their insights and learnings for the betterment of the community, Medscape Education will present an education session and a poster at the upcoming Alliance Annual Meeting.
The presentation and poster focus on three key areas team — furthering the understanding of education’s impact on patient care, innovating adult education, and cultivating diverse, equitable, and inclusive (DEI) learning experiences.
On Tuesday, February 6, 2024, from 2:15 PM to 3:15 PM, Jamieson C. Bretz, PhD, CHCP, Kimberly (Fricke) Storck, PharmD, RPh, and Sarah Atwood, MPH, will present the session, “DESIGN FOR THE MIND: INNOVATING THROUGH ADULT LEARNING AND DIVERSITY, EQUITY, AND INCLUSION PRINCIPLES.” The session will discuss how to grab a learner’s attention right from the start, including using storytelling and humor, and how to unlock innovation through adult learning and DEI principles. Attendees only need to bring their life experiences and some creativity — the session is appropriate for learners with a foundational knowledge about the topic. Learners from healthcare education organizations, medical education companies, and industry alliance for CE are encouraged to attend.
A poster will also be available during the conference, focusing on the outcomes from a multi-year program in Alzheimer’s education. The poster, authored by Katie S. Lucero, PhD, who will be recognized during the conference as one of Alliance’s 40 Under 40, will show data and information on the behavior change process through CME, planning for impact, and different perspectives for looking at that data. the poster will be presented on Tuesday, February 6 from 6-8 PM.
The Alliance Annual Conference will take place in New Orleans on February 5-8, 2024.
