Putting Skin in the Game at AAD 2023

- PMLiVE

AAD has wrapped up in New Orleans, and the Medscape team have returned home from another successful conference.

During the conference, Medscape hosted one educational symposium, Reframing the Management Approach for Moderate to Severe Atopic Dermatitis. This TED Talks style event focused on effective, long-term biologic-based strategies for patients with moderate to severe atopic dermatitis.

In addition, conference attendees were invited to a Medscape networking event : Skin in the Game. The event featured Drs Linda Stein Gold and Lawrence Eichenfield, both of whom are Medscape faculty. During the event, Drs Gold and Eichenfield shared their experiences of working with Medscape and networked with attendees.

“We were happy to see such a good turnout at both our AAD symposium and our networking event. Dermatology and Aesthetic Medicine are rapidly evolving fields, and education is important for keeping clinicians current on the latest advances. We’re looking forward to delivering more this year and next.” said Piyali Chatterjee-Shin, Vice President, Medical Education at Medscape.

With over 27 years of medical education in dermatology, Medscape is the leading professional network of websites used by physicians worldwide*. As Medscape continues to grow so does the commitment to its members to provide the most impactful and relevant dermatology and aesthetic information and education.

In a standing-room-only session on Atopic Dermatitis at the recent Medscape Hawaii Dermatology Seminar, 100% of attendees believed the education they received promoted improvement in their patient’s outcomes, and 57% said they planned to modify their treatment plans.

In a separate session on Facial Rejuvenation, 92% felt the session would promote improvement in their performance, and 61% said they would modify their treatment plans.
