PEGASUS STRENGTHENS ITS PHARMA TEAM WITH TWO STAFF APPOINTMENTS

July 1, 2015 |

Pegasus shortlisted for three Communiqué awards and hopes to defend its Communications Consultancy of the Year win from 2014

Pegasus, the UK’s largest independent health communications consultancy, is expanding its Pharma & Life Sciences division with the appointment of two new members of staff – Morgan Lewis and Rebecca Aris.

Morgan joins the company as an Account Director from PAREXEL, where he worked in its UK medical communications arm, and latterly in its clinical trials patient recruitment group. At PAREXEL he developed and implemented complex clinical trial patient recruitment programmes across multiple countries and languages, including developing printed and digital recruitment materials and running recruitment workshops. His extensive experience includes delivering healthcare professional-, patient- and consumer-facing global communications programmes in a wide range of therapeutic areas. Morgan’s knowledge of the global clinical trial and regulatory environment and his experience of working across different countries and cultures mean that he brings a broad range of skills to Pegasus.

Also joining the team as a Senior Account Executive is Rebecca Aris from John Wiley and Sons, where she worked as a commissioning editor on four of their science journals. Rebecca has more than nine years’ experience in healthcare communications including four years as managing editor of pharmaphorum, an online pharmaceutical thought leadership podium. With excellent writing, editing and communication skills and knowledge of a wide range of therapeutic areas, Rebecca also brings an entrepreneurial flair. As one of pharmaphorum’s first employees, Rebecca was instrumental in the development of the publication, including writing and commissioning articles and ensuring that it was at the forefront of communicating pharmaceutical industry news.

Pegasus’ Pharma & Life Sciences team continues to go from strength to strength and is proudly planning to defend its title as Communiqué Communications Consultancy of the Year, against the likes of Ketchum and Virgo Health, at this year’s Communiqué awards on 2nd July. The team’s client work has also been recognised by the Communiqué judges, which sees Pegasus shortlisted for two awards: Excellence in Patient/ Consumer Health Programmes for CSL Behring, and Excellence in Product/ Brand Communications for Boehringer Ingelheim.

Jo Spadaccino, Director and Head of Pharma & Life Sciences at Pegasus, commented: “We had a fantastic year in 2014 and 2015 is continuing to be filled with inspiration and opportunity, so we are delighted to be a finalist for the third year in a row in the prestigious Consultancy of the Year category at the Communiqué awards. We can attribute much of our success to the strength of our people, and by creating a team with skills that span far beyond traditional communications and PR capabilities we have been able to provide our clients with bespoke solutions and fresh perspectives. Morgan and Rebecca are the perfect additions to our existing variety of talent and are already making their mark.”
