Pertaining to, or founded on, the observation and treatment of participants, as distinguished from theoretical or basic science.  This is frequently used wrongly as a reference to something or someone without feeling or decisive. Doctors will use the term clinical to refer to a diagnosis based on the history of the patient’s condition and detailed physical examination.
