Executive summary is a phrase used in business for a contained document that condenses a more substantial report or proposals. This summary allows readers to become familiar with a larger body of work, but in a shorter space of time. Generally it will contain a brief statement about the challenges or proposals outlined in the major document(s), informing the reader of the environmental information, a compressed examination and final conclusions. It is ultimately intended as a support to decision making by company workers.
