Langland has appointed Kathryn Stewart (pictured left) as Head of Strategy and promoted Diane Ross (pictured right) to Head of Scientific Practice. Reporting to Group Managing Director Clare Middleton, Stewart and Ross share a mandate with Executive Creative Director Andrew Morley to redefine what’s possible at the frontiers of Strategy, Science and Creativity at Langland. Together, they will help clients navigate the rise of intelligent systems that are reshaping healthcare and unlock the medical and commercial opportunities they create.
Stewart joins Langland with extensive experience building and leading high-performing Strategy teams. Most recently, she played a key role in shaping the strategic offering at Saatchi & Saatchi Health London, part of the Publicis Health network. Prior to this, she led strategy for Global Marketing at Avalere. She is recognised for her ability to combine human insight with strategic foresight to uncover unmet needs and anticipate where change can create new advantage for pharma clients.
With more than two decades of experience within Publicis Health and deep expertise across multiple therapy areas, Ross has played a central role in the development of Langland’s scientific capabilities. Since 2004, she has shaped the scientific strategy of global and European communications programmes across commercial and medical affairs clients.
Together with Morley, their joint focus will be on translating scientific complexity into clear strategic and creative direction, helping clients identify emerging opportunities, unlock new sources of growth and make confident decisions ahead of the curve. Healthcare is increasingly influenced by intelligent systems, with data, AI and connected technologies becoming deeply embedded in how discoveries and decisions are made. Stewart, Ross and Morley’s role will be to help clients navigate that complexity and turn it into competitive advantage across the pharma product life cycle.
Commenting on the appointments, Clare Middleton, Group Managing Director at Langland, said: “While Langland’s scientific and medical capabilities have grown exponentially in recent years, it is the collision of Science and Strategy with Creativity that creates something greater than the sum of its parts. It’s this combination that fuels our ability to anticipate and shape what comes next rather than simply respond to it, and ultimately to shape the future of health.”
