Global communications consultancy Ketchum has acquired North Carolina-based healthcare, energy and technology public affairs agency Capstrat.
The move strengthens Ketchum’s presence in the Southern US, while providing Capstrat with a greater diversity of services for multinational clients.
Capstrat will join the public affairs network, which currently has offices in Washington, DC, New York, London, Brussels, Madrid, Berlin, Rome, Moscow, Mumbai and Hong Kong.

The agency, which offers creative, social media and analytics services to clients including GlaxoSmithKline, UNC Health Care and Quintiles, will continue to operate under its current brand, led by CEO and founder Ken Eudy.
