CCC US unveil new multiplatform content group

Group intends to combine storytelling with scientific expertise

Chandlers Chicco Companies (CCC), part of inVentiv Health, has launched a new healthcare communications initiative called Multiplatform Content Group (MCG), which places particular emphasis on the development of narrative around scientific data.

The MCG Team, which includes, among others, a former Businessweek pharma reporter, two correspondents from The Associated Press, a science writer and podcaster from Scientific America, a financial writer from Institutional Investor, has been compiled with a strong focus on brand journalism and data-driven narrative.

“Specific knowledge of strategic communications and the skills of the storyteller are needed today to transform data and information into great content that will be heard, acted upon and remembered,” said Lisa Stockman, managing director of CCC New York.

“As we expand the channels and platforms we use in an increasingly wired world, it becomes ever clearer that the heart of our work is the narrative.”

Leading the group will be former reporter and senior counsellor, Sydney Rubin, who believes that the way we receive, process and respond to information is changing and that scientific data can be used to create powerful, targeted content.

“As technology evolves from Gutenberg to Zuckerberg, our jobs as communicators evolves,” said Rubin.

“Now, we must provide context and framework to explain the stunning swirl of information that surrounds us. We need to provide a narrative story that entertains, explains, informs and touches the heart.”

MCG will be offering a number of editorial products and services, including: content strategy, branded videos, custom publishing, animated infographics, podcasts and scripts, content aggregations and packaging repurposed content to enhance RoI, message development for products and corporate reputation, blogs and micro blogs, slide shows, photo galleries, speech writing, feature articles, opinion editorial and commentary, copy for marketing collateral and multimedia news releases.
