Four Communications acquires Healthcare specialist MSA Media

Independent integrated communications agency, Four Communications Group has acquired 100 per cent of market-leading healthcare media planning & buying agency MSA Media.

London, 4 June 2015: Independent integrated communications agency, Four Communications Group has acquired 100 per cent of market-leading healthcare media planning & buying agency MSA Media. The company will be renamed Four MSA and become part of Four’s Marketing & Media operations.

MSA Media clients include Novartis, Bayer and Macmillan. The company was founded by managing director, Emma Statham in 2004 and specialises in pharmaceutical, medical and healthcare. Emma Statham will join the operating board of Four Communications Group and Ben Mansfield will become deputy managing director of Four MSA. MSA Media has 12 staff. After the acquisition, Four Communications Group will have more than 230 staff in the UK and the Gulf.

The acquisition will take Four’s combined operations in media planning & buying to revenues of £31 million a year. Four Communications Group’s integrated communications offer spans public relations, public affairs, digital, design, content, search and sponsorship alongside media planning and is now expected to deliver overall turnover of £50 million a year.

Nan Williams, Four Communications Group chief executive said: “The acquisition of MSA Media strengthens our position in the media planning market and gains us significant market entry to a new sector in healthcare. We are already leaders in media planning in the real estate and travel sectors and our plan is to continue to develop in specialist markets. On the back of this acquisition we will also be developing our plans to offer other services into the healthcare market in the coming months.”

Four MSA will sit alongside the agency’s other specialist teams in property, financial services, public sector, sports, education, travel & transportation.

MSA Media is Four Communications Group’s fifth UK acquisition and the Group plans to continue its acquisition programme in the UK and internationally. The Group now has operations in London, Edinburgh and Cardiff in the United Kingdom and in Abu Dhabi and Dubai in the UAE.
