On Tuesday, 6 October 2026, Genesis Research Group’s evidence synthesis, HEOR, and evidence planning teams will be presenting a webinar in partnership with the The Evidence Base. The topic of the webinar is ‘From scoping to systematic: Choosing the right literature review for your evidence needs‘.

Overview

Navigate the literature review spectrum and gain practical insight into selecting the most appropriate review approach for your evidence needs.

Whether informing internal strategy discussions or supporting HTA submissions, literature reviews are used to answer a wide range of evidence needs across the pharmaceutical industry. From scoping and targeted to fully systematic literature reviews, understanding where different methodologies fit along the evidence synthesis spectrum is key to selecting the right approach.

This webinar will explore the spectrum of literature review methodologies, examine how different review types support varying evidence requirements and decision contexts, and discuss their role within integrated evidence generation planning (IEGP) to support more informed evidence decisions across the product lifecycle.

Designed for pharma and biotech professionals who plan, commission, or act on literature reviews, from HEOR and market access to medical affairs and evidence generation leads.

Learning Objectives

  • Become familiar with types of literature reviews and the terminology used to define them.
  • Understand how different literature review approaches vary in purpose, rigor, and resource requirements.
  • Recognize the trade-offs between breadth, speed, reproducibility, and methodological rigor.
  • Identify the strengths, limitations, and appropriate applications of different review types across common use cases.
