Leading Edge expands their senior medical writing team

- PMLiVE
Leading Edge, part of the Lucid Group specialising in strategic health communications and medical education, has bolstered its senior medical writing team with the new appointment of Jennifer (Jennie) Badger.

Jennie comes to Lucid with nearly 3 years’ experience in medical writing. Prior to embarking on her career in medical communications, she completed a PhD in Biochemical Engineering at the University College London, and worked as a post-doctoral researcher at the University of Oxford, where she studied the use of stem cells as an in-vitro model of Parkinson’s disease. Jennie has a wealth of experience in writing materials to support the recruitment and retention of patients in clinical research studies, and to train investigators on clinical study conduct. With an interest in developing project strategy and a passion for improving patient outcomes, Jennie is now looking forward to applying her skills to some new challenges at Leading Edge.

Jennie commented “Leading Edge appealed to me because of the excellent reputation that Lucid Group has in the medical communications industry and its award-winning approach to medical education. I was impressed by the passion of the leadership team to build lasting relationships with both clients and experts to create programmes that aim to improve patient outcomes – that is something I want to be part of!”

This new appointment comes at an exciting time for Leading Edge, which due to a number of successful pitch wins, is now literally bursting at the seams at their old office in Beaconsfield Old Town. This means 2017 will not only kick off with new team members, but with a brand new office – watch this space for more news to come!
