Bringing Clinicians Together for Oncology Education at ESMO 2024

September 2, 2024 | ESMO, breast cancer, oncology

- PMLiVE

ESMO 2024 comes with the debut of 2 new, exciting symposia hosted by the MedscapeLIVE! team. The symposia build on nearly 30 years of Medscape’s experience and excellence in both online and live education events. Medscape symposia are dynamic learning experiences that allow attendees to interact with the content to take notes, send slides, and ask questions of the esteemed faculty members.

At ESMO, MedscapeLIVE! will host, “Milestones and Horizons in Hepatobiliary Carcinomas: The Unfolding Story of Immunotherapy” on Sunday, 15 September at 13:00 and “Redefining Care for HR- Positive Metastatic Breast Cancer: How to Navigate Critical Decision Points” on Monday, 16 September at 18:30. Both events will be available for CME credit.

In addition to education programs, Medscape will host a networking event on September 13. The event will include expert panel members including Giuseppe Curigliano, Professor, Director, Division of Early Drug Development, European Institute of Oncology. Light refreshments will be served. “We’re looking forward to joining our colleagues at ESMO. We’ll be presenting cutting-edge information at our symposia and giving learners the tools they need to put the latest advancements into practice,” said Nabil Dorkhom, MD. “Our years of experience and leadership in oncology education will allow us to put information into clinicians’ hands to make a difference in patients’ lives throughout Europe.”

Also available at the conference will be Medscape’s short article on the power of education in the treatment of breast cancer. The article discusses the rapidly changing field of breast cancer treatment and how continuing medical education plays a key role in closing gaps, including reaching clinicians in areas where they may not have opportunities to access or participate in clinical trials. The article features contributions from Giuseppe Curigliano. The article is also available online here. For more information on oncology education
