As the conference year draws to a close, Medscape is closing out the season in a big way, bringing 8 educational symposia and 3 posters to ASH 2024, as well as showcasing new AI capabilities.

Three posters are being presented on December 5, before the official start of the conference. In the first poster, Medscape is taking a retrospective look examining the impact of the programs produced for ASH 2023. The outcomes of this study showed how the programs made a difference in learners’ knowledge, competency, and confidence, as assessed by pre-and post-education questions. Attendees who are interested in simulation can check out Medscape’s second poster, which looks at the impact of a Medscape virtual patient simulation on cold agglutinin disease. Medscape’s third poster, on BTK inhibitors for chronic lymphocytic leukemia and mantle cell lymphoma, was created through the collaboration with The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, a renowned patient advocacy group.

“It’s always so inspiring to look back at some of our education efforts over the past year and see how much of an impact they made. We’re proud to have worked with the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society to analyze and present the impact of some of our education in chronic lymphocytic leukemia and mantle cell lymphoma and show how education is making a difference,” said Dr Victoria Harvey-Jones, Associate Director of Clinical Strategy, Medscape Oncology Global and leader of Medscape’s Patient-Integration Initiative.

The 8 educational symposia for 2024 will cover the following topics:

All symposia offer the ability to engage with the faculty as well as send notes and slides. Programs will be made available on Medscape.org following the conference.
New for 2024, Medscape will showcase AI features at their booth, allowing attendees to take a glimpse into the powerful ways Medscape is harnessing this technology to enhance education. Conference attendees are encouraged to stop by the Medscape booth during exhibitor hours to try it for themselves.

“Our AI pilot at ASH 2024 is game-changing. We’ve partnered with Erudio Health to pilot new tools that give healthcare professionals new ways to dive into content with AI chatbots and explore real-world cases. It’s not just about better learning – it’s about smarter, faster learning. We’re committed to staying ahead in medical education. Nobody understands medical education like Medscape, and we’re not just keeping up with tech – we’re leading the charge. We’re using our expertise to make AI work for our learners. This AI pilot is just the start. We’re focused on giving healthcare professionals the best learning experience out there, because better education means better patient care.” Dr Sushant Dahiya, Executive Director, Medscape Education
