Heart failure is a common medical condition, with new treatment approaches being developed every day. By 2030, an estimated 8.5 million Americans will be living with heart failure. With more and more patients living with this condition, it’s more important than ever that there be easy-to-access clinician education on the multidisciplinary management of heart failure.
For 30 years, Medscape Education has been a trusted and essential resource for keeping clinicians up to date with guideline recommendations and current heart failure treatment strategies to optimize patient outcomes. Medscape’s partnerships with the Heart Failure Society of America (HFSA) and the American College of Cardiology (ACC) ensure that the educational information is cutting-edge and includes actionable data on advances in clinical care.
In the last year alone, more than 182,393 clinicians have turned to Medscape for a wide range of learning activities on cardiology topics. During the last 12 months, 128,147 clinicians, including 77,819 physician members, have logged in to participate in education on the topic of heart failure.
“As more patients are diagnosed with heart failure, we need the entire cardiology care team to be on the cutting-edge of the latest management approaches. Medscape has a long history of providing education with a measurable impact on a learner’s knowledge, competence, and confidence, and as we look forward to the next 30 years, we’re going to continue to be an essential resource for cardiology team members as they look for the latest data and guidelines,” said Margaret Harris, Director, Clinical Strategy.
