September 15, 2026 | Aortic Dissection Awareness Week, Cardiology Education, Evening from the Heart, John Ritter Foundation for Aortic Health

When independent, evidence-based education directly connects with clinicians at the point of care, clinical practice changes. Driven by this vital mission, Medscape Education was proud to sponsor The John Ritter Foundation for Aortic Health’s signature event, Evening From the Heart, on September 12th!
Representing Medscape in Los Angeles, Catherine Capparelli, MBA, CHCP, Senior Director, Strategic Partnerships), and Stacey Hughes, Vice President, Learning and Development connected with passionate advocates to champion a cause essential to cardiovascular health.
Held as a special kickoff to Aortic Dissection Awareness Week (September 13–19), the evening brought together medical professionals, patient advocates, and supporters for one critical reason: early detection and education save lives. Aortic dissections are rapid, life-threatening medical emergencies, and closing the awareness gap for both clinicians and patients is the key to preventing premature deaths.
