Presenting Outstanding Outcomes from HCP Education in Multiple Myeloma at IMS in Athens

From September 27-30, members of the Medscape Education Global team were in Athens, Greece sharing 5 posters at the International Myeloma Society Annual Meeting, 2023.

The posters presented the outcomes and impact of a variety of Medscape Education programs in multiple myeloma, from summative outcomes across 17 activities, to stand-alone micro-learning, innovative case-based clinic scenarios and virtual patient simulations. Collectively, they all highlighted the significant changes in knowledge, competence, confidence, and performance amongst Medscape members who participated in the online education.

The posters presented were:

“I was thrilled to showcase our robust outcomes data for our multiple myeloma programs at IMS. As new myeloma treatments continue to emerge at a fast pace, it’s crucial to provide clinicians with ongoing education to keep them updated. Our educational initiatives focused on case-based programs, offering clinicians hands-on experience with virtual patients, as well as microlearning for convenient, incremental learning. Overall, we saw significant improvements across knowledge, competence, and confidence, as well as performance. We know that a positive shift in confidence is a key indicator for clinical practice change, so better education among clinicians leads to better outcomes for patients,” said poster author Victoria Harvey-Jones, PhD.
