We’re delighted to announce that two Global Medscape Medical Affairs programmes have been shortlisted in various categories for The Pharmaceutical Market Excellence Awards (PMEAs). The two programmes selected both succeeded in uniting a global community of clinicians, enabling them to discuss the newest innovations and advancements via expert-led educational initiatives.
The two selected programmes and their respective nomination categories are:
Excellence in Healthcare Professional Education and Support Programmes
Excellence in Managing Established Products
Excellence in Collaboration and Partnerships
In its second year, The Transatlantic Exchanges programme continues to develop its award-winning programme from 2021. This year, L’Institut Servier, Gustave Roussy (Villejuif, France), Dana-Farber Cancer Institute (Boston, USA), and Medscape Medical Affairs sought to establish and support a global community of innovators across oncology, committed to accelerating new frontiers of clinical research by exploring all facets of care to realise a world where cancer is a curable disease. The event included an active community of 892 oncology innovators from 95 countries. Impressively, 83% of delegates/faculty have applied their learnings in subsequent roles, with over 1,500 individuals expressing further interest.
The initiative utilised a multichannel engagement strategy. Faculty-led sessions honed in on the latest research breakthroughs in oncology, while a delegate engagement hub (utilising Medscape LIVE) amalgamated live and on-demand content, accommodating all time zones.
The Global Neo Learning Summit, in partnership with Reckitt, is also in its second year. Its design fosters a community of like-minded clinicians to advance knowledge addressing self-identified learning gaps, build competency in optimising nutritional management, and create lasting clinical impact around the latest developments in care for preterm infants. This year, the summit was attended by 605 paediatricians and neonatologists from 70 countries. An impressive 93% of participants increased their knowledge of best practices in pivotal areas of infant nutrition.
“We are thrilled to see our programmes gaining such high recognition. Every day, our Medscape team dedicates itself to fostering connections and sharing knowledge within the global healthcare community. It is heartening to hear that our efforts are having a positive impact on patient care, and we are immensely proud of the positive changes we’re making to the lives of patients. Best of luck to all the finalists, and we eagerly anticipate the outcome of the awards,” remarked Caroline Phillips, Executive Director, Medscape Medical Affairs.
The winners will be unveiled at the awards ceremony on 22 November 2023.
