It’s the Era of Outcomes at ERA 2023

The Medscape team has bid farewell to the beautiful city of Milano, Italy and our European nephrology colleagues. The team was thrilled to meet up with so many ground-breaking clinicians, researchers, and leaders in the field to talk about all the amazing advancements in nephrology and the role of education in improving outcomes for patients around the world.

Over the weekend, Medscape had the honor of presenting two scientific posters that highlighted the outcomes of recent Medscape education programs. The dissemination of outcomes is a top priority for Medscape, and as a part of this commitment, Medscape publishes over 100 scientific posters, abstracts, and peer-reviewed articles each year at major medical conferences and in leading journals.

At this year’s conference, the team presented posters on the impact of case-based education that clearly demonstrated improvements in clinicians’ knowledge and competence on the following:

  1. Glomerulonephritis Diagnosis And Management, Management Of Patients With Diabetes With Cardiorenal Disease
  2. Novel Treatment Options for Type 2 Diabetes and CKD.

“It’s always so exciting to present posters at ERA. Our education consistently has a positive impact on clinician knowledge, confidence, and competence, and we are dedicated to sharing the data in order to show the value of education. Our top-notch faculty and innovative education design provide a winning combination for engaging learners and delivering information that makes a difference. We think things are only going to get more exciting from here on out,” said Adriana Stan.

On 17th July, Medscape faculty member Jonathan Barratt, MD, MSC, PHD joined ERA attendees and other faculty members at an off-site networking event. Attendees enjoyed light refreshments and the opportunity to connect and discuss what’s new and exciting in nephrology and the role education plays in improving outcomes for patients around the world.

“We ended ERA 2023 on such a high note and with so much hope and excitement for what’s to come,” said Mike Vuurman. “All of us on the Medscape nephrology team are committed to providing the best education that engages and benefits learners, and that moves the needle for patients. We can’t wait to come back next year to showcase even more outcomes and play our part in improving care for patients around the world.”
