In marketing there are five groups into which customers can be categorised according to the time it takes them to adopt a new product or service. Within those categories are the Early adopters – who adopt a new product or service after the innovators have already adopted it. Generally this will be a customer who, in addition to using the studied product or technology, will also readily volunteer feedback to aid the seller develop its prospective product releases and methods.
