The START Center for Cancer Research (START), a community-based network of clinical trial sites, has partnered with Trialing, a platform that connects physicians and patients to clinical trial.

Through the collaboration, the organisations plan to streamline referrals, improve awareness of trial opportunities and expand patient access to cancer therapies by distributing information across Europe about active oncology clinical trials.

The information provided will include real-time study updates and the notification of medical oncologists when enrolment slots become available by using Trialing’s physician network.

Nick Slack, Chairman and CEO of START, said: “Partnering with Trialing allows us to engage physicians on a platform they already know and trust, provide clear and timely visibility into our hundreds of active trials, and make it easier to connect patients with START’s clinical trial sites across Europe.

“By reducing friction in the referral process and increasing physician awareness of START, we advance our mission of delivering hope through access.”

By using Trailing’s platform, START aims to ensure physicians have current information the eligibility criteria and enrolment status of clinical trials.

Emiliano Calvo, Medical Oncologist, Senior Clinical Investigator, Director of START Madrid-CIOCC, and President of START Europe, said: “Clinical trial awareness and referral efficiency are critical to advancing cancer care.”

“By partnering with Trialing, we can more effectively share study availability with medical oncologists and ensure patients are referred at the right time, when enrolment opportunities are open.”

Both organisations share a focus on modernising clinical trial access, strengthening physician engagement and accelerating oncology research across Europe.

Max Hardy-Werbin, CEO of Trialing, said: “We’re proud to partner with START, an organisation that shares our commitment to improving access to clinical trials through smarter, more connected solutions.”
