Medscape has left behind the sunny skies of San Deigo, having attended their final conference of the year at the ASH annual meeting.

The team wrapped up the year with a bang, presenting 8 educational symposia that drew in hundreds of attendees and presented the latest data and advancements in hematology. Attendees were invited to ask questions and interact with the sessions as Medscape’s esteemed faculty helped translate the latest information into actionable strategies that clinicians could bring back to their patients.

“We couldn’t have asked for a better conference to wrap up 2023. We saw amazing turnout for our symposia, and that means more clinicians are returning home ready to make a big impact for their patients,” said Chris Carey, Vice President, Medscape Oncology.

The Medscape team also made an impact with 2 abstracts that were published in the online Blood abstracts archive:

  • The value and success of live plus online enduring CME on hematology/oncology specialists’ ability to care for patients with hematologic disorders
  • Interactive Case-based Education on Pyruvate Kinase Deficiency Improves Hematologists’ Competence in Implementing the Latest Diagnostic and Management Approaches

Visitors to the Medscape booth had the opportunity to participate in MedChallenge, a lightning-fast quiz game where learners compete against each other in a friendly competition for the top of the leaderboard.

To wrap up the conference and bid farewell to 2023, the Medscape team hosted a networking event at a nearby venue, where attendees could enjoy light refreshments and enjoy the beautiful San Diego weather.

“The networking event was such a nice chance to take a deep breath and look back at all we’ve accomplished this year. Our guests were able to take a moment to relax and reflect on 2023 and all of the advancements the year brought in hematology, along with education’s key role in keeping clinicians up to date.”
