An editorial is typically an opinion piece written by editorial staff or a publisher of a newspaper or magazine. Editorials are generally a reflection of the opinion of the publication. In the UK, unsigned editorials are known as “leading articles”. However elsewhere in the world, as in Australia and the United States, newspaper editorials are often classified under the heading “opinion”.
