Medscape Publication is Awarded Poster of Distinction at AASLD

- PMLiVE

Medscape Education is committed to disseminating the outcomes of the education programs through peer-reviewed publications and posters at leading medical conferences around the world. To this end, Medscape publishes more than 100 articles, abstracts, and posters per year that show the impact of their medical education programs on learners’ knowledge, competence, and confidence.

This year, Medscape is proud to share that their poster on the outcomes of a medical education program on Wilson’s Disease has been awarded Poster of Distinction at the American Association for the Study of Liver Diseases annual conference. The poster, “Evolving Treatment Paradigms In Wilson Disease: Impact Of Micro CME On Physician Knowledge And Confidence” was authored by Margaret Harris and Jovana Lubarda of Medscape Education, and Michael Schilsky of Yale New Haven Hospital. The poster looked at the data resulting from the pre-and post-questions included with an education program on Wilson’s Disease and assessed whether the education could increase clinicians’ knowledge and confidence. The education consisted of 5 online CME micro modules led by expert faculty.

“Continuing medical education on Wilson Disease management is essential for healthcare professionals to enhance early detection, accurate diagnosis, and effective treatment of this rare genetic disorder. Updated knowledge empowers clinicians to improve patient outcomes by understanding the latest diagnostic tools, therapeutic options, and personalized care approaches, which are critical for managing this progressive and potentially life-threatening condition. It is promising to see that our education has positively impacted clinician knowledge and confidence in managing this condition.” author Margaret Harris, PhD, Director of Clinical Strategy said of the poster.

The poster will be on display at AASLD from November 15-19.
