After Data cleansing has occurred, the data set will be consistent with other comparable data sets in the system. Typos and spelling mistakes are corrected, data is properly labeled and filed, and incomplete entries are completed. Data cleansing operations often eliminate out of date or corrupted records, to create more space and create efficient operations. Data cleansing can be performed manually or software for computers is available for this purpose.
